Erythromycin

Details:

Product Description

Erythromycin (EM) is a macrolide antibiotic, and its antibacterial spectrum is similar to or slightly wider than penicillin. It can not only inhibit Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, but also inhibit mycoplasma, chlamydia, Rickettsia, and a few mycobacteria. Its mechanism is that it can penetrate the cell membrane, bind to 23S rRNA of 50s ribosome, interfere with aminoacyl displacement, inhibit peptide extension, and finally block protein synthesis. Erythromycin also has anti-inflammatory and prokinetic properties. Studies have shown that erythromycin can inhibit NF- κ, the transcriptional activation of B leads to the inhibition of the expression of cytokines such as IL-8 and IL-6, which is realized by calcineurin independent T lymphocyte signal.
